We already know that more than half of the anime community enjoys comedy, which is why 80% of anime must feature humorous components, but nothing can beat the quality of ecchi comedy anime in terms of delivering top-notch comedy blended with fan service.
As a die-hard ecchi anime fanboy who has watched over 50 ecchi romance anime, I am here as your guide to recommend the best ecchi comedy anime of all time.
What is Ecchi Comedy Anime?
Ecchi comedy anime is a popular genre that combines humor with risqué fanservice elements. By nature, these shows toe the line between innocent laughter and risqué subject matter. At their best, ecchi comedies find a fun balance here.
18: Golden Boy
Golden Boy is the quintessential lewd anime from the 90s. The story follows Kintaro Oe, a man in his late 20s who decides to quit his job and embark on an adventure to “find himself.”
During his travels, Kintaro ends up taking various odd jobs that allow him to interact with quirky female characters. His insane antics and constant misunderstandings constantly get him into hot water, or should we say other liquids.
His go-with-the-flow attitude is both his greatest asset and flaw. Golden Boy is a true one-of-a-kind experience that is surely a hoot and a half for fans of the genre.
17: How Heavy Are The Dumbbells You Lift?
Want to find some gym motivation? I’m not sure you’ll get any from this anime, but your desire to see hotties in a real gym will be heightened for sure.
How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift? is a body-building comedy that is easy on the eyes. The show follows Hibiki, your usual chick desperate to maintain her waistline.
On her first day hitting the newly opened gym, she encounters her schoolmates shredding pounds. As this gym was occupied by renowned bodybuilders, Hibiki instantly chose to withdraw until she crossed paths with her prince charming.
Now her preferences are not losing weight but impressing her prince charming by regularly hitting the gym and getting into pervy situations.
16: Tenpuru
A group of people who want to enjoy the perfect boobies along with humorous comedy should never miss this Ecchi Harem anime.
The show follows run-of-the-mill lousy protagonist Akemitsu Akagami, who has maintained distance from girls all his life to seek purity and yet fell in love with a hot chick in an instant.
To purify his mind, he decided to devote his life to a temple. But guess what? His love at first sight, along with five other hot waifus live in this temple already.
15: Love After Domination
This is a romance anime where enemies become lovers and yet can’t be together. World After Domination is a remarkable anime by Project No 9 Studios that perfectly balances romance and comedy.
The show follows the two leaders of different organizations: Fudou Aikawa, the leader of Japan’s Hero Group, and Desumi, the leader of an evil society.
Despite belonging to totally opposite groups, they both are in love and are consistently trying to hide their forbidden romance from their comrades.
14: GANBARE DOUKICHAN
Let’s assume you’ve arrived from work and are looking for an entertaining show that doesn’t cost you much time or effort. Specifically for busy people like you, GANBARE DOUKICHAN comes in with a treat.
GANBARE DOUKICHAN is a short ecchi comedy anime with 12 episodes and 5 minutes per episode. This risque anime follows a hot office worker, Douki-chan, who has one goal: to seduce her coworker.
Seducing her crush could have been easy if she hadn’t had two hot love rivals prepared to cross any limit to win Douki Chan’s workplace love.
13: Level 1 Demon Lord And One Room Hero
While watching Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero, I was thinking, How the hell do they always find unique ideas from overused demon tropes?
The demon king was once defeated by the hero party and is now reincarnated in child form to exact his revenge on the hero.
He doesn’t waste a second, and when he finally arrives to face his foe, he literally loses his motivation after witnessing his adversary living a slob life in an apartment.
He joins in with his hot assistant to cheer up his adversary so he can exact his revenge with dignity.
12: Magical Senpai
This is all I wanted to say about this entertaining anime. “A great and hilarious show with lots of fanservice.”
The show features the world’s most unfortunate magician, “Senpai,” who always gets herself embarrassed in lewd situations while performing due to stage fright.
As she has found a new disciple, let’s see how she will impress him enough to join as a talented master. I bet you’ll lose count of how many times you have laughed while watching their lewd, funny moments.
11: How Clumsy You Are, Miss Ueno
Those who want to enjoy less perverted fan service with hilarious sexual jokes should give this anime a chance.
A show like this is destined to be created when an incredible scientist with unimaginable inventions becomes lewd or perverted. The show follows Ueno, a quirky, perverted scientist struggling to figure out the concept of love.
In matters of love, she’s actually an airheaded girl who thinks to impress her love interest by exposing herself to perverted situations in front of him.
10: The Legendary Hero Is Dead
Looking at the premise, this lewd anime may appear to be a fantasy quest but believe me, it is not. It’s a funny adventure animation that’ll make you spit up blood from laughing so hard.
The legendary hero of this anime, Shion, met his demise by falling into the trap of a commoner. A necromancer has witnessed this scene and trapped the commoner “Touka” in the body of Shion to fulfill his duty as a hero.
Now, forcefully, he has to accomplish Hero Shion’s journey while navigating through bizarre adventures, which include clothes-torn situations while fighting monsters and drinking the pee of a princess as a cure.
9: Haganai
While most ecchi exist only to showcase fanservice, Haganai enters differently by adding depth to both the story and its characters.
This pure ecchi harem anime with literally zero action follows Kodaka, a loner who is persuaded to join the Neighbors Club filled with quirky outcasts. Though he finds interacting with others difficult, he grows close to club president Yozora and airhead Sena.
Fans of cringe comedy paired with some saucy fan service will be left in stitches witnessing the shenanigans of these socially awkward misfits.
8: Monster Musume
Have you ever witnessed a serpent with boobs? Or a bat girl flying naked? I bet you haven’t and never will if this monstrously lewd comedy anime never existed.
Monster Musume follows Kimihito, whose home is selected to host creature girls as part of an exchange program between monsters and humans.
One by one, more exotic beauties like a spider gal and a bird woman are added to Kimihito’s menagerie. Juggling his duties as a host and keeping hormonal monsters under control tests his patience.
7: Shimoneta
This is a direct quote from the MC of Shimoneta. “What’s the point of dirty jokes anyway if they aren’t ‘wrong’? They’re appealing *because* they are wrong. They excite us *because* we have to be secretive. Because they’re devilish, they shine. Because they’re twisted, they entice us.”
This self-parodying Ecchi anime is set in a world where the government is taking extreme actions for sexual suppression.
Opposing this suppression, a group of high schoolers is opposed to this idea and secretly leading a criminal organization to spread lewdicity. By glancing at such a premise, anyone can tell how funny this ecchi anime could be.
6: Demon King Daimao
The Demon King Daimao is a classic action ecchi action anime with an overpowered MC, a lot of hot chicks, and lewd hijinks.
The show follows a recently transferred boy who had prophesied to be the next Demon King. With this news, his wish to live as a normal student vanished as his new status sprouted terror in his surroundings.
To monitor his activities, an airhead robot has been assigned, a naked invisible meathead girl consistently follows him, and much more is unveiled.
5: Ladies Versus Butlers
Cautious alert: Never dared to watch this borderline ecchi comedy anime along with your family; if you do, you’ll be homeless in seconds.
Since the whole purpose of this anime is to present borderline fan service and comedy, it really delivers; however, in terms of plot, it’s just ok.
The show follows a poor MC named “Hino Akiharu,” who decides to enroll at a free boarding school where ladies outnumber guys. Right after his arrival, he keeps getting into humiliating situations with various girls in hilarious ways, and that’s it.
4: Girlfriend, Girlfriend
I doubt there has ever been a more meatheaded protagonist in anime history. I mean, who the hell takes his girlfriend’s permission to date some other chick?
Naoya Mukai is already head over heels for his first girlfriend and childhood friend, Saki Saki. To his surprise, another girl reaches out to him, confessing her feelings.
Mukai, choose which one? Actually, he’s planning to date both of them. He approaches his first girlfriend and bluntly asks for permission to date both of them, but that’s not the end, as more girls are yet to be included in his harem.
3: Prison School
I may hate J.C. Staff for ruining the reputation of One Punch Man, but at the same time, I am thankful to them for giving us this extremely funny rom-com ecchi anime, “Prison School.”
This fan service comedy anime is staged in a high school that has been converted to co-education. Only five boys have enrolled in the first, and each of them is a pervert.
Unfortunately, they were caught red-handed while peeping into girls’ baths and thrown into the school’s prison for a month as punishment.
Thus starts the story of the boys’ difficult lives at Prison School, a righteous struggle that would eventually test the bonds of friendship and perverted brotherhood.
2: The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You
Please don’t skip this anime like me due to its absurd name, and I guarantee you that this anime will be your next favorite of all time.
From a unique premise to beautifully animated character designs, this comedy ecchi anime will make you crave its upcoming season.
This hilarious masterpiece follows Rentarou Aijou, who has been informed by God himself that he’s going to have a hundred girlfriends and that he has to date each of them.
If he does not, his rejection will cost that girl’s life. Even though he’s forced to, he’s determined to satisfy each of the girls who are destined to enter his life.
1: Konosuba
Obviously, Konosuba is not the best ecchi anime show, but when we are talking about comedy with ecchi, how come we choose some other anime over this all-time high-rated masterpiece?
The protagonist of this ecchi isekai follows Kazuma, who dies with only the fear of getting hit by the truck. Now given the chance to reincarnate in a fantasy world with OP powers, he has made a blunder by picking the goddess Aqua instead of choosing some power.
Fatefully, two more useless girls join his party, and they’re tasked with defeating the demon king. How on Earth are they going to pull this off? Let’s see.
Conclusion:
The only reason for this list was to recommend Ecchi anime that are particularly focused on comedy rather than some other trope. Each of these shows is ranked according to my own experience with each of them.
